What Forms of Payment Do You Accept? Do You Take Installments? 

Booking Through VRBO/HomeAway - Payments can be broken into as many as three installments depending on how far out the reservation is made. You may use a number of forms of payment, see listing site for details. When an installment is due you will be sent an email with instructions on how to make the payment. VRBO/HomeAway charges a sliding scale percentage service fee for their services. Their services fee is almost always the lowest of the listing sites used. Payment is sent to the host/owner according to the terms of their agreement with the HomeAway's payment company. If a deposit is charged it is held by VRBO/HomeAway. If no claim is made by the owner it automatically is refunded to the guest within two weeks of checkout. (Your bank may take longer for it to show in your account.)

Booking Through Airbnb - Bookings are paid for in a single installment when using Airbnb. The money is held by them until a day after check-in; then it is disbursed to the host/owner. Deposits are held and automatically refunded in a similar fashion as with VRBO/HomeAway. Airbnb also charges a modest service fee that is paid partially by the host/owner and also by the guest. Airbnb typically offers incentives to try them. If you haven't used Airbnb before and qualify for an incentive (at the time I am writing this they are offering a $35 off coupon for new users for their first booking) let me know your email and I will be happy to send you their latest offer.

Booking Direct - Payment can be made using an app called Venmo (debit and bank account payments only), which is secure and free for both the user and the receiver. That is the preferred method. Paypal is another option. The accept credit cards, debit cards and other forms of payment. As we do not have a staff to manage payment reminders, etc, we require payment in full, including the security deposit, to reserve your dates. Dates are not secured until the payment is received and the contract has been signed with all pages also initialed.

Do You Charge Fees Beyond The Nightly Rate?

We do have two common fees:

  • Our Pet Fee: $75 per stay
  • Cleaning Fee: $125 per stay
    • Did you know, it takes a staff of two anywhere from 3-5 hours to clean the house, wash all of the laundry and get it ready for the next guest. Typically, checkin and checkout happen same day.

What Is Your Cancellation Policy?


Short-term Rental (14 nights or less) - Short term cancelation policies vary by listing site, so please read the terms on each site.

In General our policy is:

  • Bookings canceled at least 60 days before the start of the stay will receive a 100% refund.
  • Bookings canceled at least 30 days before the start of the stay will receive a 50% refund.
  • Cancelations made 29 days before the start of the stay or less will receive no refund.
  • Cancellations must be made by NOON CST on the appropriate day.

At the discretion of the owners, in certain situations, such as a severe weather event, guests who cannot make their original reservation may move their dates to comparable ones that are available later in the year (within 12 months of the original booking.) If there is a difference in room rates, that difference will need to be paid. If the cost is less than the original payment no refund of the difference will be given. Sorry.
